Scholarship
Being a sister of Sigma Delta Tau is meant to enhance your college lifestyle at Ramapo. This means that in addition to helping you become a well-rounded individual and providing plenty of fun activities, Sig Delts take pride in their schoolwork as well. As an organization, we offer many opportunities and programs to boost your grades and help you out, whether it be help with time management or just one difficult class.
Study Buddies: During all New Member Education Programs, each New Member is paired with an older sister based on Major. Study Buddies assist with homework, studying, etc. and act as a support system for schoolwork. They also help ease the transition into college by helping their New Member Study Buddy choose classes, find the best professors, and find the best priced textbooks!
Academic Achievement Awards: To help encourage academic achievement, awards are given out at the end of each semester for Highest Semester GPA, Highest Cumulative GPA, and Most Improved. Our Scholarship Chair puts together little prize packages for the winners along with a Torch shaped-award.
Study File: At the end of each semester, sisters have the option of "donating" class notes, study guides, and old tests to our Study File. This is a huge advantage to younger sisters who take the same classes later on and is a great opportunity to help one another out.
Each sister of Sigma Delta Tau must have a minimum of a 2.50 each semester to be considered "in good standing" and receive Chapter Privileges. We encourage the use of all our academic resources to make the most of your education at Ramapo College.
